Jonathan Selter has been a Rising Star within Censeo Consulting ever since he joined the firm from Harvard University. Six years and three promotions later, he rose to become a member of the firm’s leadership team as a Principal last summer.
He’s been a pioneer across multiple major transformations in the public sector, including leading campus-wide cost reduction projects at Georgetown University and The College of William & Mary, helping each achieve multimillion-dollar savings.
“I am particularly passionate about education and the opportunities that higher education can provide,” Selter says. “I am proud to contribute to controlling the costs of higher education. Working with leadership at universities such as William & Mary to control costs and focus the university on operational efficiency has been a career highlight.”
Selter also was able to spearhead government-wide initiatives with the Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative and Office of Federal Procurement Policy, helping to reshape the way the government buys goods and services and saving hundreds of millions of dollars. He also drove change across the Department of Defense by optimizing their complex supply chains.
“Censeo works primarily with mission-driven organizations, and I have had the opportunity to work with federal agencies, universities and non-profits on complex business problems,” he says. “Achieving change in these types of organizations can be challenging, but seeing change happen is extremely rewarding.”
Selter says he works with some of the most intelligent and devoted people in the consulting industry. “The dedication and talent of my teams has been crucial to the success of every project I have worked on,” he says.
