Excellence in Client Service
Even though she’s only 33 years old, MorganFranklin’s Melaine Amedola has more than 12 years of federal consulting experience providing financial management consulting to several military services within the Department of Defense.
Amendola says she’s proud that she’s able to excel in a new industry at a young age, despite having no prior military experience. “It’s been an honor to work alongside some of the highest-ranking military officials and government civilians,” Amendola says. “It has been a rewarding accomplishment to survive and thrive in that environment, jumping right into the fire, making an impact, and serving as a role model for others.”
After joining MorganFranklin as a manager and lead of the Department of the Navy account, within two years, she was promoted twice and is now a Director supporting the firm’s Public Sector Market, leading several engagements with teams ranging from eight to 25 employees.
She currently leads the Assistant Secretary of the Navy Office of Financial Operations Audit Response Division, which serves as the active central coordination point for the Navy’s wide response to internal and external auditor requests. “Working for the DoD instills a sense of giving back to the warfighters and civilians who support me every single day,” Amendola says.
“To be recognized as one of Consulting magazine’s Rising Stars of the Profession is incredible, and I am grateful to so many people who have given me opportunities to continue to learn and take on increasingly bigger challenges,” she says. “I am only successful if my team is successful, and that trust and respect motivates me to continue making an impact each and every day.”
