ZS Associates announced that Chris Wright has been elected by firm partners to the position of managing director and will assume his new role for a three-year term on July 1. After the founders, he is the firm’s second managing director and succeeds Jaideep Bajaj, who served the firm-maximum term, and was reelected to its board of directors.
Wright joined ZS Associates in 1989 and has held several leadership roles at the firm. Most recently, he was a regional managing principal of North America and managing principal of the firm’s global pharmaceuticals practice. During the last decade, Wright has also served in a number of executive management roles, including nine years on ZS’ management advisory council. In 2010 Consulting magazine named him one of its Top 25 Consultants.
“Chris has played a strategic role in ZS’ evolution and success as a world-class leader in the full spectrum of sales and marketing solutions,” said Bajaj. “His commitment to our clients has led to big ideas and breakthrough strategies to improve key aspects of marketing and sales force effectiveness. Chris also has helped set our corporate vision and strategy, and create a culture of cooperation that’s unique to the consulting industry.”
Wright earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Indiana University and an MBA with honors from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
