A new Capgemini study, "Manufacturing in 2020," shows the industry is headed toward an era of increased globalization and complexity. The study examined the different ways manufacturers plan on doing business in 2020, and included responses from more than 150 manufacturing companies in eight countries. According to the study's findings, manufacturing will become increasingly global by 2020, with 80 percent of manufacturers expected to operate in multiple countries.
