What would you say has been the biggest factor in your success so far?
More than any one strategy, it's been our commitment to people and relationships. To me that means creating a firm and opportunities that they can be a part of throughout all walks of their life. This requires investing in our teams, fostering a culture of care, and continuously aligning with our guiding principles while maintaining a deep loyalty to our clients and the challenges they entrust us to solve.
What do you enjoy most about your career in the consulting industry?
What I've always enjoyed most is the opportunity to help people. It comes in many forms but the chance to work alongside clients to solve their most complex challenges is fun. Their success becomes our success, and the relationships we build along the way are just as important as the outcomes we deliver.
What is your proudest achievement to date?
Without question, founding and building AArete to what it is today is my proudest achievement. It was a defining moment in my career and an opportunity to take everything I learned and valued about consulting and reimagine it into something more intentional and purpose-driven. From the beginning, the goal wasn't just to build a firm, but to build something that would endure through its people and future generations.
Beyond building AArete, I'm proud to have helped create a firm defined by its culture, its commitment to developing and supporting one another, and the lasting impact it has on clients.
What's the best advice you've ever been given?
Some of the most important advice I've carried with me came from my father, who instilled in me a relentless pursuit of excellence while helping others. It wasn't something he spoke about abstractly; it was how he lived. His expectation was that excellence wasn't optional, it was foundational to everything you do.
That mindset shaped how I approach leadership, decision-making, and the way we've built AArete. It's about doing the right things, the right way, with consistency and integrity. Those early lessons in helping others, work ethic, and leadership have stayed with me throughout my career and continue to guide how I lead and live today.
What does this recognition mean to you?
This award means a great deal to me. I've spent my career in consulting, which ultimately led to the founding of AArete. What began with four people in 2008 has grown into a 500-plus-person, globally recognized firm, one of the largest healthcare consultancies in the U.S., and a trusted partner to more than 130 health plans nationwide. That journey, and the firm's continued growth and success for the people who are part of it today and will be in the future, is what I view as my legacy. I'm honored that this recognition reflects that.
