Julie Smith is one of three executives on Rockwood's leadership team and serves as Director of Growth. With nearly two decades of national security experience, she was the first employee hired by founder and CEO Patricia Koopersmith and has played a central role in Rockwood's culture, delivery excellence, and sustained growth. Since joining in 2016, she has held two executive roles: Director of Consulting, Delivery & Innovation (2018–2022) and Director of Growth (2023–present).
She has supported the Department of War and Intelligence Community on complex security, human capital, and organizational transformation efforts, earning a reputation as a trusted advisor to senior government leaders. Julie holds an MBA from the University of Maryland and a BS in Political Science and Business from Washington University in St. Louis, along with PMP, SPHR, Certified Virtual Facilitator, and Associate Certified Executive Coach credentials. She is known for redesigning business processes, improving workforce performance, and translating complex challenges into practical solutions.
