Daniel Ahern is a managing director at F2 Strategy and a founding partner of Aliter Investment Services, where he leads client engagement, strategic growth and enterprise transformation initiatives for global asset management firms. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Ahern is recognized for aligning complex business strategy with disciplined operational execution. Throughout his career, Ahern has held senior leadership roles across the investment management ecosystem, including positions at Sentinel Financial, Ceres Partners, eSecLending, State Street Corporation, Chase Manhattan and The Boston Company.
His background spans investment product development, operating model design, technology strategy and large-scale platform transformation, providing him with a rare combination of in-house operating experience and consulting leadership. Ahern earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Bentley University, studied English Legal History and European Economic Community Law at Oxford University, and received his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University School of Law. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1992. He also served for a decade on the board of the Expect Miracles Foundation, supporting initiatives to advance cancer research and patient support programs.
