The former Accenture executive succeeds Renny Borhan, who will transition to a strategic advisory role to support the firm's next phase of growth.

Global consultancy HKA has appointed Steve Culp as its new chief executive officer, effective June 22. Culp succeeds Renny Borhan, one of the firm's founders, who will transition into a non-executive role as strategic adviser to the board.
In his new role, Culp will lead the firm through its next phase of development, focusing on international growth and service delivery in dispute resolution, expert witness services, litigation support, and risk mitigation. Borhan, who has overseen the firm's expansion in scale and geographic reach, will remain involved to support the leadership transition.
Culp joins HKA following a lengthy tenure at Accenture, where he most recently served as senior managing director and global risk lead. With more than 30 years of experience, Culp has advised global organizations on strategy, finance, risk management, and large-scale transformation projects across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
"Renny has made an exceptional contribution to HKA and has helped build a firm of real strength, quality, and international standing," the HKA board said in a statement. "We are also delighted to welcome Steve as chief executive officer. He brings significant leadership experience, strong market perspective, and a clear focus on people, clients, and growth."
Culp noted that he is joining the firm at a pivotal moment in its journey. "My focus will be on investing in our people, deepening client relationships, and leading HKA through its next phase of growth," Culp said. He emphasized his intent to build upon the "strong foundations" established during Borhan's leadership.
Reflecting on his tenure, Borhan stated that it has been a privilege to lead the firm and work alongside his colleagues to build its current international reputation. "Steve is an excellent choice to lead HKA in its next phase, and I look forward to supporting him and the firm as strategic adviser to the board," Borhan added.
