West Monroe debuts Open AI platform for business strategy and execution.

Move aims to redefine early-stage consulting by providing free tools for assessing business risk, AI readiness, and workforce strategy.

Global consulting firm West Monroe has announced the launch of WestMonroe.ai, a new open platform providing on-demand AI agents for public use. The platform is designed to help business leaders test investments, explore complex business questions, and pressure-test strategic assumptions before moving into formal planning and execution phases.

The site is launching with six purpose-built agents focusing on critical business areas, including business model risk, growth expansion, talent strategy, and AI maturity. These tools leverage the firm's proprietary intellectual property and decades of execution experience to provide users with a "first cut" of strategic analysis that can be reviewed, refined, and downloaded for internal organizational use.

"We've spent the last several years building AI directly into how we work as a firm," said Gil Mermelstein, CEO of West Monroe. "WestMonroe.ai is about opening up that thinking to our clients and showing leaders what becomes possible when AI is applied with purpose, experience, and a clear connection to execution." Mermelstein noted that the platform allows leaders to gain clarity faster before engaging the firm to help turn those insights into reality.

According to the firm, the platform represents a shift in how organizations access strategic thinking. Bret Greenstein, Chief AI Officer at West Monroe, suggested that AI is rapidly changing which parts of the consulting lifecycle should require a premium fee. He noted that initial growth strategies or disruption assessments can now be developed more effectively with AI tools, allowing clients to focus their investments on the subsequent execution and transformation work.

Among the initial offerings is the "Business Model Threat Finder Agent," which identifies emerging competitive threats and AI-enabled risks. Other tools include the "AI Readiness Agent," which assesses governance and technology maturity, and the "Workforce Future Fit Agent," designed to identify talent gaps and operating model shifts required to deliver on future strategies.

The launch coincides with West Monroe's participation in Fortune Brainstorm Tech 2026 and follows several industry accolades for the firm's AI capabilities. West Monroe was recently recognized by Forbes as one of America's Top Management Consulting Firms in the AI category and received a Gold Stevie award for its AI-driven culture of innovation.
