Global health technology and consulting firm Nordic has appointed Alicia Harkness as its new chief executive officer. Harkness, who officially stepped into the role on June 15, leads the Madison, Wisconsin-based firm as it seeks to guide healthcare organizations through increasingly complex clinical, operational, and business environments.

In her new capacity, Harkness will oversee Nordic's efforts to help care teams leverage technology to improve patient outcomes. The appointment comes at a pivotal time for the firm as it continues to advance its position as a strategic partner within the global healthcare sector.

"Harkness is the right leader to guide Nordic into its next phase of growth," said Jason Szczuka, chairman of the board of directors at Nordic. "She brings the client focus, strategic perspective, and industry experience needed to build on Nordic's strong foundation and move the business forward."

Harkness joins the firm with more than 20 years of leadership experience across the public, commercial, and nonprofit sectors. She was previously a founding partner of Guidehouse, where she led the development of the Global Health business, scaling the segment into one of the firm's leading enterprise areas within a six-year period.

Throughout her career, Harkness has focused on building integrated portfolios spanning advisory, technology, and managed services. Her experience in partnering with executive leadership to shape strategy and guide investment priorities aligns with Nordic's current focus on driving innovation at the center of patient care.

"Nordic stands apart as an organization being solely focused on healthcare," Harkness stated regarding her appointment. "I'm excited to be joining at a time when there is a clear opportunity ahead. My focus is on serving our clients, supporting our people, and investing in work that strengthens teams at the center of patient care."
