Appointment aims to bolster the firm's expertise in private equity and human capital as organizations navigate complex operating model and growth challenges.

Boutique consulting firm Mann Partners has appointed David Cohen to its Advisory Board. Cohen currently serves as a Partner and Managing Director at Kelso & Company, where he leads the Human Capital function, applying talent and human resources best practices to enhance investment processes and portfolio company performance.

The appointment strengthens the Greenwich, Connecticut-based firm's capabilities in private equity and human capital. Cohen joins the board as organizations increasingly confront complex operating model transitions, talent shortages, and growth challenges driven by technology and market shifts.

Cohen brings more than 35 years of experience to the position, having built and scaled organizations across the globe. Prior to his current role at Kelso & Company, he held senior leadership positions at American Securities, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and General Electric. His international expertise includes launching and developing operations in India, China, Southeast Asia, and Japan.

Charles Weiss, Chair of the Mann Partners Advisory Board, noted that Cohen's experience sits at the intersection of talent, operating model design, and private equity value creation. The board, which includes leaders from management consulting and organization design, was established to broaden the firm's perspective as clients navigate accelerating change and AI-enabled workforce transformations.

Cohen holds a B.A. in Economics and an MBA in General Management from the University of Michigan. He began his professional career as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer, managing a rural development organization in Botswana.
