Veteran leadership executive will focus on scaling client impact and driving purpose-aligned growth for the Barry-Wehmiller company, effective March 30.

St. Louis-based leadership consultancy Chapman & Co. Leadership Institute has named Patrick Berges as its new chief executive officer and managing partner. The appointment, effective March 30, signals a new chapter for the firm following the passing of its founder and longtime Barry-Wehmiller chairman Bob Chapman earlier this year.
The institute was founded on the people-centered leadership philosophy championed by the elder Chapman, who maintained that businesses have a fundamental responsibility to care for the people they lead. Berges, a longtime friend and colleague of the late founder, is tasked with preserving this cornerstone while expanding the firm's work with organizations globally.
Berges brings more than 25 years of global leadership experience to the role. He is the founder of H3 Leadership, which has been integrated into Chapman & Co., and previously held senior leadership positions at Covidien and Medtronic. His background also includes serving as executive director of The Curve Initiative, a nonprofit founded by author Simon Sinek, where he led large-scale culture transformation efforts across more than 100 countries.
"Chapman & Co. has spent years showing that when organizations invest in how people are led and supported, better business results follow," Berges said. "That belief shaped how Bob lived and led, and it shapes how this firm operates every day. I'm honored to carry that work forward."
As managing partner, Berges will focus on strengthening the firm's internal culture and driving growth aligned with its core purpose. His appointment received support from BW Forsyth Partners, the strategic growth arm of Barry-Wehmiller, which works with the institute to advance its long-term vision and scale its impact.
Kyle Chapman, president and CEO of Barry-Wehmiller, noted that Berges' global operating experience and proven ability to scale organizations without sacrificing culture make him a strong strategic fit. "We are confident he will strengthen what makes Chapman & Co. exceptional while accelerating the growth and impact this team is positioned to achieve," Chapman stated.
