Marsh unit Oliver Wyman to acquire CR3 Partners to expand transformation capabilities.
Move strengthens Oliver Wyman's ability to support clients through pivotal transformations across industrials, retail, and energy sectors.
Global management consulting firm Oliver Wyman, a business of Marsh, has reached an agreement to acquire CR3 Partners, a firm specializing in transition, turnaround, and distressed situations. The deal, announced May 4, is expected to close later this quarter. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition is designed to significantly enhance Oliver Wyman's capabilities in restructuring, liquidity management, and crisis response. CR3 Partners has established itself as a specialist advisor to boards, lenders, and stakeholders navigating the turnaround process. Their senior practitioners bring experience across diverse sectors, including industrials, retail, healthcare, energy, and financial services.

William Snyder, Senior Managing Director and Partner at CR3 Partners, noted that the move will allow the firm to bring its capabilities to a broader set of clients at a greater scale, backed by Oliver Wyman's global geographic footprint and industry expertise. Michael Zeltkevic, Managing Partner and Global Head of Capabilities at Oliver Wyman, added that the addition builds "naturally" on the firm's existing performance transformation business.
As part of the transaction, 62 professionals from CR3 Partners will join Oliver Wyman in multiple cities. The integration is intended to provide a more robust suite of solutions for private equity sponsors, financial lenders, and corporate clients facing operational or financial distress.
