Appointment marks continued expansion in the UK market and drive growth in the firm's banking practice as financial institutions navigate digitalization and regulatory shifts.

Global management and technology consultancy Capco, a Wipro company, has appointed Daniel Meere as a new Partner. Based in London, Meere will lead the firm's Banking & Payments practice in the UK, focusing on driving growth as the industry continues to evolve through digitalization.
Meere brings more than 25 years of experience across consulting, financial services technology, and growth strategies. He joins the firm from Colehouse Group, where he served as interim Chief Growth Officer. Throughout his career, his work has focused on delivering technology-enabled transformation and building global communities of expertise, including the launch of fintech and incubator ventures.
Prior to his time at Colehouse, Meere led Cognizant's Banking and Financial Services consulting business across multiple international regions, including the UK & Ireland, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific. His extensive leadership background also includes positions at Axis Corporate, CSC, and PA Consulting, where he oversaw the Banking, Wealth, and Private Equity practice.
In addition to his consulting pedigree, Meere has direct experience within the banking sector. He previously worked at Barclays, where he co-led the Industrial Engineering Unit. In that role, he focused on group-wide operational efficiency, a skill set that complements his broader strategic and technological expertise.
"Daniel brings deep banking industry expertise and a very broad portfolio of consulting experience," said Richard Lewis, UK Co-Managing Partner at Capco. "His focus on commercial innovation, value and growth will help ensure Capco remains a partner of choice for banks and payment providers as they look to capitalize on opportunities arising from ongoing digitalization, diversification and regulatory change."
The appointment comes as Capco continues to expand its UK footprint, leveraging its domain expertise and parent company Wipro's technology capabilities to support clients across the financial services and energy industries.
