Appointment brings over two decades of public and private sector experience in complex forensic accounting and regulatory matters to the global firm.

Daniel Brinks, Partner, StoneTurn.

Global professional services firm StoneTurn has appointed Daniel Brinks as a new Partner. Brinks, a 15-year veteran of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), joins the firm with more than two decades of experience spanning both the public and private sectors.

In his new role, Brinks will advise clients on complex forensic accounting, valuation, and regulatory matters. His practice focuses significantly on issues involving private funds, asset managers, and institutional investors. Working alongside clients and their legal counsel, he will develop investigative strategies, define project scopes, and apply GAAP and auditing standards to disputed financial issues.

Brinks joins StoneTurn following a distinguished career at the SEC, where he served as a forensic accountant within the Division of Enforcement. During his tenure, he worked closely with enforcement counsel on high-stakes investigations. He also previously served in the SEC's Investment Adviser and Investment Company Examination program, providing him with a distinctive perspective on regulatory expectations and compliance risk.

"Daniel's background spans both the investigative and examination sides of the SEC, which is a rare combination," said Brad Wilson, Managing Partner at StoneTurn. "He understands how regulators think, what they look for, and how to build a credible investigative record. That kind of firsthand experience is exactly what our clients need when the stakes are high."

The addition of Brinks is intended to deepen StoneTurn's bench of forensic accounting and investigations talent. His expertise covers a wide range of high-stakes challenges, including accounting irregularities, valuation disputes, and corporate investigations for a global client base.
