The 2026 Rising Stars of the Profession: Tori Kolar

Tori Kolar is an Associate Director at CrossCountry Consulting, based in McLean, Virginia. She brings a strong foundation in accounting from her prior experience in real estate corporate accounting at a public REIT and as an auditor primarily focused on renewable energy clients. Tori is a graduate of West Virginia University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in accounting. She has lived in Washington, D.C. for 12 years and remains deeply connected to the region. In her current role, Tori leads teams and supports clients with critical operational accounting and financial close activities, helping ensure accurate, auditable and timely financial reporting. Her client experience spans both public and private organizations, from small businesses to large enterprises. She is technically strongest in revenue recognition accounting and is recognized for her leadership in optimizing team performance by identifying and leveraging individual strengths. Tori also serves as the leader of CrossCountry Consulting's DC Chapter of the International Network of Women and is passionate about connecting with and empowering others. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her 5-year-old Labrador, Captain and attending concerts.
