Gray Cannon
Rising Star Honoree - Analytics & AI Innovation

Gray Cannon is a technical architect and data science consultant specializing in applied AI and analytics for enterprise environments. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After graduating, he joined IBM Consulting where his clients included several of the most admired brands in sports including The Masters, Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. At IBM, he built and applied technical skills that allowed him to scale his analytics solutions. He is the inventor of 32 U.S. patents and served on IBM's Big Data invention review board. In 2021, he was named an IBM Master Inventor in recognition of sustained innovation leadership and mentorship.
As a data scientist at Meta, Gray established a metrics strategy for the interaction model of an upcoming augmented reality glasses product. He applied analysis skills honed as a consultant by using Facebook and Oculus data to inform the product direction. Currently a Manager in AI and Analytics at Alvarez & Marsal, Gray is known for bridging strategy and execution, helping organizations move from AI experimentation to scalable, governed, production-ready systems.
