The 2026 Rising Stars of the Profession: Alexa Myers

Alexa Myers, 28, is a Data Science Senior Manager at Resultant and Technical Solution Owner for Pivot, Indiana's award-winning workforce recommendation engine. She joined Resultant in April 2020 while completing her BS in Mathematics and Economics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, essentially self-constructing a data science degree before formal programs existed. Her career launched during the pandemic, and she supported Indiana's COVID-19 response through disease propagation modeling, vaccine optimization, and odds ratio analyses for targeted outreach. This work evolved into modernizing Indiana Department of Health's vital statistics processing, reducing data certification time from three months to just weeks. Alexa advanced from junior data scientist to senior manager in under five years while earning her MS in Data Science from Notre Dame (2023), focusing on biostatistics and data storytelling for non-technical audiences. Beyond client delivery, she designed Resultant's 12-week data science intern program, which became the foundation for the company's Early Career program. She serves on her alma mater, Rose-Hulman's, alumni advisory board and coaches elementary cross country, bringing the same clarity and encouragement to young runners that she applies to demystifying AI for government stakeholders.
