Global professional services firm Marsh has appointed Ted Moynihan as the new President and CEO of Marsh Management Consulting and Oliver Wyman. Moynihan, who will continue to be based in London, succeeds Nick Studer in the top leadership role.

The appointment is effective April 1, 2026. In his new capacity, Moynihan will join the company's Executive Committee and report directly to John Doyle, President and CEO of Marsh. The leadership change comes as Studer transitions to a new role as President and CEO of Marsh Risk.

John Doyle highlighted Moynihan's extensive background in the sector as a key factor in the appointment. "Ted brings extensive leadership experience and a proven track record of driving transformation and growth in the consulting sector," Doyle said. He added that Moynihan's expertise in advising clients on complex challenges makes him the "ideal leader" to guide the continued success of the firm's consulting arms.

Moynihan's tenure at Oliver Wyman spans three decades, during which he has held multiple senior leadership positions. He most recently served as the firm's Global Head of Industries and previously held the role of Global Head of Financial Services. His strategic vision has been central to the firm's work at the intersection of strategy, risk, and transformation.

Regarding his new role, Moynihan emphasized the firm's focus on resilience and innovation during a period of global volatility. "It is a privilege to lead Marsh Management Consulting and Oliver Wyman at such a pivotal moment," Moynihan stated. "Together with our talented colleagues, we will continue to help clients navigate complexity, adapt and build resilience while investing in our people and capabilities."

Studer, the outgoing CEO, noted that Moynihan is highly respected across both the public and private sectors for his perspectives on the issues reshaping business and economies. Marsh, which reports annual revenue of $27 billion and employs more than 95,000 colleagues, operates as a global leader in risk, reinsurance, and management consulting across 130 countries.
