Promotions reinforce the firm's expertise in antitrust, life sciences, energy, and financial economics following a strong performance year. Move shifts nearly 20 professionals to leadership roles to address complex challenges in litigation, regulation, and business strategy.

Global consulting firm Charles River Associates (CRA) has announced the promotion of 19 new vice presidents across its international offices. The appointments bolster the firm's leadership in several key practice areas, including Antitrust & Competition Economics, Financial Economics, Life Sciences, Energy, and Forensic Services. The move reflects the firm's ongoing commitment to expanding its specialized expertise to meet the increasing complexity of client challenges in the regulatory and litigation landscapes.

"The achievements of our newly promoted Vice Presidents reflect the great year that CRA had in 2025 and reinforce my optimism in our future," said Paul Maleh, CRA President and Chief Executive Officer. "These individuals exemplify the combination of expertise and experience that our clients and teams rely on when facing complex business challenges. I am grateful for their many contributions to the firm and congratulate them on this achievement."

The Antitrust & Competition Economics practice saw the largest expansion, with several new vice presidents appointed to handle global merger reviews and litigation. Among those promoted are Sandra Chan, Dr. Martino De Stefano, Dr. Matteo Foschi, Dr. Adriana de la Huerta, Dr. Matthew Johnson, Elina Koustoumpardi, Michael Muehlbradt, and Christoph von Muellern. These leaders bring specialized experience in industrial organization, multi-jurisdictional merger control, and economic analysis for high-stakes engagements before the European Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, and other global regulatory bodies.

In the Financial Economics and Finance practices, the firm elevated Dr. Adam Gailey, Alex Stricker, and Dr. Zawadi Lemayian. Their work focuses on financial services litigation, regulatory compliance, and expert testimony regarding valuation and economic damages. Additionally, Adam Hart was promoted within the Forensic Services practice, where he provides digital forensics and incident response services for cybercrime and data breach investigations. These promotions strengthen CRA's ability to manage large-scale data analysis and provide objective solutions to complex financial and technical disputes.

The firm also reinforced its industry-specific leadership in the Life Sciences and Energy sectors. Kira Gordon, Abhishek Kumar, and Dr. Bhavesh Patel were named vice presidents in the Life Sciences practice, specializing in pricing, market access, and commercial strategy for pharmaceutical and medical device sectors. In the Energy practice, Dean Koujak was promoted for his expertise in the electric utility industry and M&A advisory. Rounding out the leadership group are Jonathan Blumenstein in the Labor & Employment practice and Kim Welch, who leads the Enterprise Application Services function within CRA's IT department.

Headquartered in Boston, Charles River Associates has provided economic, financial, and management consulting services since 1965. With offices worldwide, the firm advises a diverse client base on litigation, regulatory proceedings, and critical business strategy issues. These latest promotions signify a strategic investment in the firm's human capital as it continues to scale its operations across North America, Europe, and Australia.
