Tisnovsky returns to the firm after 12 years at McKinsey to drive strategic initiatives to support technology leaders navigating an increasingly complex digital and AI-infused landscape.
Research and advisory firm Everest Group has announced the appointment of Ross Tisnovsky as Partner. In his new role, Tisnovsky will lead the expansion of the firm's CIO Research and Advisory practice, a strategic initiative aimed at supporting technology leaders through rapid digital transformations.

The expanded practice, under Tisnovsky's leadership, will focus on helping CIOs navigate the complexities of an AI-infused landscape. By combining Everest Group's global research capabilities with a focus on IT performance improvement, the initiative is designed to provide technology executives with the data-driven insights needed to make faster, more confident decisions.
Tisnovsky rejoins Everest Group following a 12-year tenure at McKinsey & Company, where he co-founded and led McKinsey Solution Ignite. That service line focused on technology-enabled IT performance improvement, aligning with his deep expertise in technology strategy, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making.
This appointment marks a return to the firm for Tisnovsky, who originally joined Everest Group in 2006. During his initial tenure, he founded and led the firm's IT Outsourcing research service line, where he assisted senior leaders in optimizing outsourcing strategies and enterprise outcomes.
"The role of the CIO has never been more critical or more complex," said Jimit Arora, CEO of Everest Group. "Organizations are increasingly relying on technology leaders to navigate the AI journey. Ross brings exactly that combination of experience, vision, and leadership to this role to provide the contextual intelligence CIOs need to support high-stakes decisions."
Tisnovsky noted that the CIO role is currently being redefined in real time, requiring a shift away from traditional research approaches. "I look forward to building a practice that helps CIOs lead with clarity, confidence, and at speed," Tisnovsky stated, adding that the firm's model transforms peer benchmarking into actionable decision support.
