The tech services and consulting firm has appointed Nagendra Bandaru to lead the new division as part of a strategic shift toward agentic AI solutions.

Effective April 1, the launch includes the appointment of Kanwar Singh to the executive leadership team to oversee technology services.

Technology services and consulting firm Wipro Limited has launched a dedicated AI-Native Business & Platforms Unit, a strategic move designed to transition the company toward a "services as software" model. The new unit aims to deliver consulting-led, AI-powered transformation by integrating the firm's existing platform assets with advanced agentic AI solutions.

The business unit will oversee and scale Wipro Intelligence's portfolio of platform assets. This includes industry-specific tools such as NetOxygen for AI-powered lending, CROAMIS for aviation cargo operations, and various healthcare and telecommunications platforms. By utilizing dedicated engineering teams, the unit is intended to accelerate value creation and enable non-linear growth for the firm's clients.

Nagendra Bandaru, a nearly 30-year veteran of the company, has been appointed CEO of the AI-Native Business & Platforms Unit, effective April 1. Bandaru previously served as President and Managing Partner of Technology Services GBL. In his new role, he will continue to report to Srini Pallia, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Wipro.

"This strategic pivot further sharpens Wipro Intelligence's ability to deliver tangible value to clients and drive stronger business outcomes," said Pallia. "It positions us to build and scale AI-led platforms at an unprecedented speed and unlock new growth opportunities. By deepening our capabilities across data, workflows, decision engines, and infrastructure, we are well-positioned to lead in the era of intelligent transformation."

To fill the vacancy in the Technology Services GBL, Wipro has recruited Kanwar Singh as President and Managing Partner. Singh, who joins the Wipro Executive Leadership team, brings over 30 years of experience in global initiatives across the retail, manufacturing, and transportation sectors. He will focus on digital interventions, automation, and global delivery management.

Beyond platform scaling, the new unit will incubate AI-led business streams through an "invest-build-partner" approach. This involves close collaboration with Wipro Ventures and the firm's broader partner ecosystem to develop enterprise-grade AI solutions. The restructuring reflects Wipro's broader effort to maintain competitiveness through AI-driven client outcomes.
