Each year, thousands of consulting professionals participate in this massive undertaking, submitting comprehensive, employee-driven surveys about their day-to-day workplace experience. To ensure a fair and accurate comparison among peers, the 2026 honorees will be recognized across four distinct categories based on firm size:
- Boutique firms: 20–50 billable personnel
- Small firms: 51–249 billable personnel
- Midsize firms: 250–999 billable personnel
- Large firms: 1,000+ billable personnel
Beyond the prestige of the award itself, the evaluation process yields a wealth of actionable insights. Because the data collected from thousands of individual surveys is of immense value to firm leadership, every qualifying, participating firm receives a basic benchmarking report. This report details the firm's raw scores and its placement across six critical categories measured by the survey: culture, compensation and benefits, career development, client engagement, work/life balance, and leadership.
