Engineering and technical consulting firm has appointed the industry veteran to lead its next phase of growth, focusing on forensic engineering and expansion in the built environment sector.
Houston-based consulting firm Rimkus announced it has appointed Chris Rayasam as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective Feb. 11, 2026. Rayasam will also take a seat on the company's Board of Directors.
Rayasam joins Rimkus from Consor, an infrastructure engineering and construction management firm, where he also served as Chief Executive Officer. His background includes extensive leadership experience in the engineering and consulting space. He previously led Murraysmith, a firm specializing in water and transportation infrastructure solutions, and managed its acquisition and integration into Consor. Earlier in his career, Rayasam held senior positions at Otak, Hemmera, and AECOM.
In a statement, Rimkus Chairman and Executive Director Curtis Brown cited Rayasam's track record in driving growth through operational improvements and the successful integration of acquisitions as key factors in the decision. Brown noted that Rayasam is "well prepared to guide Rimkus forward" into its "next phase of growth."
The appointment comes as Rimkus plans to reinforce its forensic engineering capabilities, including Vehicle Accident Reconstruction and Digital Forensics. The firm also intends to accelerate its growth in sectors related to the built environment, such as Building Science, Construction Advisory, and Structural Engineering.
