Joseph Taiano, Chief Marketing Officer, RSM US LLP.

Firm tasksTaiano with modernizing its marketing and leading a unified brand strategy as it redefines its focus on the middle market, from companies with $30 million to $10 billion in revenue.

RSM US LLP, a provider of assurance, tax and consulting services, has named Joseph Taiano as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Taiano, who joins RSM's executive leadership team, will be responsible for the firm's brand development, marketing modernization and go-to-market strategy.

Taiano comes to RSM from Accenture, where he spent over 25 years in various executive roles. Most recently, he served as the Global Head of Marketing for Growth & Strategy and also led marketing for Accenture Song, the company's creative division. A former CPA, Taiano's background combines financial expertise with experience in managing large client portfolios and building data-driven marketing teams.

The appointment occurs as RSM enters its centennial year and adjusts its strategic focus on the middle market. The firm has broadened its definition of this segment to include organizations with revenues ranging from $30 million to $10 billion, citing their increasing digital complexity and global operations.

In his new role, Taiano is expected to reinforce RSM's core brand promise, "The Power of Being Understood," which centers on building client relationships through insight and personalization. He has stated that a key focus will be balancing technology with human connection.

"In a world where AI is taking center-stage, I believe not losing the human touch will be paramount," Taiano said in the announcement. "The key is understanding how technology, coupled with human connection, can drive unmatched results that will set us apart."

Taiano will also work to develop a unified global brand for RSM that can be adapted for local relevance in the middle market, ensuring a consistent client experience across its assurance, tax and consulting service lines.
