Kasra Ghahremani and Javier Arniella join the firm's forensic engineering and construction claims teams in Houston and Washington, D.C., respectively.

HKA has announced the appointments of Dr. Kasra Ghahremani and Javier Arniella as Directors. Ghahremani joins the Forensic Engineering, Architectural and Scientific practice, while Arniella joins the Construction, Claims and Expert Services practice.

Ghahremani, based in Houston, brings over 17 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on forensic failure investigations, condition and risk assessment, and structural health monitoring. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in both the United States and Canada and has provided expert analysis on projects involving structural failure, construction defects, cost overruns and delays. His experience includes assessing structural damage from various causes, including wind, fire, ground settlement and material degradation. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Javier Arniella, Director, HKA.

Joining the firm in Washington, D.C., Arniella has more than a decade of experience as a forensic schedule expert and delay analyst. He specializes in identifying the root causes of delays, disruptions, and productivity loss on complex capital projects. A licensed Professional Engineer, Arniella has performed claims analysis on infrastructure, commercial, and renewable energy projects. He also provides advisory services to clients on schedule development and risk identification. He earned a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico.

The addition of these two directors expands HKA's technical expertise in specialized areas of engineering and construction consulting, supporting clients involved in complex disputes and capital projects.
