Life sciences consulting firm taps the industry veteran to succeed Leslie Orne, who will transition to a Senior Advisor role after more than two decades with the company.
Trinity, a consulting firm specializing in the life sciences industry, has named Scott Evangelista as its new Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Leslie Orne, who is stepping down after three years as CEO and more than 24 years with the company. Orne will transition to the role of Senior Advisor and will continue to serve on Trinity’s Board of Directors.
Evangelista brings over 30 years of experience to the role, having held senior management positions in consulting, contract research organizations (CROs), and biotechnology. His background includes leadership roles at IQVIA and Deloitte, and he was the founder of Swiftwater Group. Evangelista is already familiar with the firm, having served on Trinity’s Board of Advisors for the past three years.
The leadership change comes as Trinity aims to expand its technology-enabled services. Matt Jennings, Executive Chairman of Trinity and an Operating Partner at Kohlberg, noted that Evangelista was selected for his experience in driving growth within companies.
"Through his leadership on the board of advisors, he’s demonstrated that he is ideally suited to lead Trinity into its next chapter of growth,” Jennings said in a company statement.
During her tenure, Orne was involved in Trinity's evolution from a consulting-focused firm to a broader commercial solutions provider. Jennings acknowledged her long service, stating, “We look forward to continuing to benefit from her experience as she transitions to Senior Advisor.”
In a statement regarding his appointment, Evangelista said he plans to build on the company's foundation by "accelerating innovation, investing in data and technology, and advancing value for patients, clients and employees.”
