Deal adds expertise in cybersecurity, compliance and AI, responding to growing demand for integrated risk management solutions for the office of the CFO.
Advisory firm Riveron has acquired Eden Data, an Austin-based consultancy specializing in cybersecurity, governance, risk and compliance (GRC). The acquisition aims to broaden Riveron's Risk Advisory solutions by integrating specialized technology and cyber-risk capabilities with its existing financial and operational advisory services.
The move comes as corporate boards and finance chiefs face increasing pressure to manage risks related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and the implementation of emerging technologies like AI. By acquiring Eden Data, Riveron is positioning itself to offer a more unified platform that addresses these interconnected challenges.
Founded by Taylor Hersom, Eden Data employs nearly 60 professionals with expertise in compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001 and PCI. The firm assists clients in preparing for audits and initial public offerings across a variety of industries.

Hersom, who will continue to lead the Eden Data team within Riveron, noted the opportunity to apply the team's expertise on a larger platform. "This combined team will be able to further our mission of helping companies strengthen their cybersecurity posture and build trust amid a complex, rapidly evolving technology and compliance landscape," he said.
This acquisition is the latest in a series of strategic investments for Riveron over the past two years. The firm previously acquired Effectus Group to enhance its accounting advisory services and invested in Yantra to build out its technology enablement and AI solutions. Financial terms of the Eden Data transaction were not disclosed.
