Sharon Lynch, Chief Executive Officer, Modus Create.

Co-founder Pat Sheridan will transition to the role of Chairman as the digital engineering firm prepares for its next phase of private equity-backed growth.

Digital product engineering firm Modus Create has appointed Sharon Lynch as its new Chief Executive Officer. Lynch takes over from Pat Sheridan, who co-founded the company in 2011 and will now serve as Chairman of the board.

The leadership change comes as Modus Create, backed by private equity firm JLL Partners, focuses on a new phase of expansion. Lynch joins the company from consulting giant Slalom, where she led its product engineering division, Slalom Build, and managed a team of over 1,300 people across the Americas. Her appointment signals a strategic move to leverage experienced leadership for scaling the business.

"Sharon’s track record of scaling technology firms makes her exceptionally well-suited to guide Modus Create in this next stage," said Gerard Van Spaendonck, Head of Value Creation at JLL Partners.

Lynch brings more than 25 years of experience in technology consulting and product engineering to the role. In a statement, she noted her focus will be on helping clients modernize and adopt new technologies in a "rapidly changing digital era."

Sheridan, who led Modus Create for 14 years, expressed confidence in the transition, stating that Lynch is the right leader as the company looks ahead to the "AI era."

Modus Create provides digital engineering services across several industries. The company has worked on projects in the healthcare sector to modernize data platforms and accelerate clinical trial reviews, as well as in financial services, where it helped build cloud infrastructure for a new credit card launch.
