Dan Russell, Senior Partner, RHR.

RHR International has announced the promotion of Dan Russell to senior partner. In the new role, Russell will continue to serve as the firm’s global head of Assessment while also taking on broader responsibilities to advance the practice’s data and technology capabilities.

The move comes as companies face increasing pressure to adapt to rapid shifts in leadership expectations. According to the firm, Russell will focus on making RHR’s assessment offerings more scalable and outcome-driven by integrating data-driven insights and technology. This strategy aims to help clients, which include Fortune 100 and 500 companies, make more objective, fact-based decisions when building their leadership pipelines

Before joining RHR, Russell spent three decades in roles with global firms including Deloitte, Aon, and SGS & Co., advising companies across North America, Europe, and Asia. Within RHR, he previously led the executive bench operations before taking charge of the Assessment practice.

"As someone whose career is rooted in industrial and organizational psychology, I’ve spent years understanding human behavior in the workplace," said Russell. "We have a unique ability to understand how leadership has changed, which is enhanced by having good, objective data to guide organizations in making fact-based decisions in hiring and identifying emerging talent."

RHR reports it has assessed over 10,000 leaders globally, using behavioral science and analytics to help clients develop executive talent.

RHR Chief Executive Officer Jessica Bigazzi Foster commented on the strategic importance of the promotion. “As leadership expectations change, it’s vital that RHR stay ahead of the curve so we can help our clients navigate a changing world,” she said, adding that Russell's experience would help position the firm for the future.
