Health care strategy consulting firm BDC Advisors has appointed Peter Attwater as a new Managing Director. Attwater joins the firm from Deloitte Consulting, where he spent more than a decade specializing in M&A for health care providers.
With over 18 years in the industry, Attwater’s experience covers health care mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integration and enterprise transformation. He has advised Academic Medical Centers, health systems, and physician groups on refining operating models and designing IT infrastructure related to complex transactions.
In his new role, Attwater will lead client engagements across M&A advisory, health system transformation and payer-provider strategy. His focus will be on guiding organizations through the M&A lifecycle, from initial strategic planning and diligence to post-acquisition integration.
Andy Ziskind, CEO of BDC Advisors, noted that Attwater’s background will support the firm’s clients as they navigate current challenges in the health care sector. “His experience will help us continue to deliver an ROI on key strategic initiatives, including M&A as well as new models of affiliation and alignment for health systems and their aligned physicians,” Ziskind said.
