Move completes the integration of the education and government-focused technology consultancy into the global PMY brand, more than a year after the initial purchase.
True North Consulting Group, a technology consulting firm specializing in education and government clients, will now operate under the name PMY, effective September 2, 2025. The rebranding finalizes the integration process that began when PMY acquired the Texas-based consultancy in August 2023.
The change fully incorporates True North's public sector expertise into PMY's broader global technology and data services portfolio. PMY primarily serves clients in sports, entertainment, and major events, and the acquisition of True North represented a strategic expansion into the public infrastructure and education markets.
According to PMY Group Senior Vice President Logan Meier, the integration aims to combine True North's specialized knowledge with PMY's global resources. "Our clients will benefit from a larger pool of consultants, broader service offerings and the ability to execute at any scale while preserving the local focus and relationships that have defined True North for decades," Meier stated.
The leadership team from True North will continue in their roles and join PMY's senior leadership to guide growth in the education and government sectors. The firm, which traces its roots to Elert & Associates founded in 1984, has a long history as a technology advisor to public entities, including K-12 school districts such as Klein ISD and Round Rock ISD.
This move is part of a larger trend where global technology and consulting firms acquire specialized, boutique consultancies to gain immediate, deep-seated expertise in niche markets. By dissolving the True North brand, PMY is presenting a unified market presence as it looks to leverage its expanded capabilities to serve public sector organizations on a larger scale.
