The global consulting firm, known for its work in urban development and infrastructure, will now offer strategic, operational, and capital planning services to U.S. health systems.

SJ Group, a consulting firm with a background in urban development and infrastructure, has announced the launch of its Healthcare Advisory Services in the United States. The expansion brings the firm's international experience into the U.S. market, aiming to assist hospitals and health systems with facility modernization and operational challenges.

The firm's entry into the U.S. healthcare sector comes at a time when many healthcare organizations are dealing with aging facilities, financial pressures, and the need to improve patient access to care. SJ Group plans to offer integrated advisory services to address these issues.

"Our mission is to help healthcare organizations navigate change and complexity - designing infrastructure that not only supports care delivery today, but is also resilient, adaptable and ready for tomorrow,” said Christy Lindsey, global head of healthcare advisory at SJ

According to the company, its U.S. healthcare advisory services will focus on four main areas:

  • Strategic Facilities Planning: Assisting health systems with growth planning in new and existing markets.
  • Infrastructure Planning: Evaluating facility conditions to prioritize capital spending in line with financial and operational objectives.
  • Operational Planning: Supporting the execution of strategic projects from initial business case development through to final activation.
  • Capital Planning: Creating long-range capital plans to aid in organizational decision-making.

SJ Group states that it will leverage its global experience and a data-driven approach to serve a range of clients, from community hospitals to large, multi-state networks. The firm also noted an emphasis on sustainable design and resilient infrastructure in its project approach.

“Our strength lies in our ability to deliver practical, data-informed solutions that help healthcare leaders make confident, long-term decisions about their infrastructure and care environments,” Lindsey added.
