Deal adds a Woodland Hills-based accounting and advisory firm with a focus on the entertainment industry, continuing Citrin Cooperman's active M&A strategy.

Citrin Cooperman Advisors LLC has acquired the assets of Barkin, Perren, Schwager & Dolan, LLP (BPSD), a Woodland Hills, California-based accounting and advisory firm. The move expands Citrin Cooperman’s footprint in Southern California and adds specialized capabilities in the entertainment and professional services sectors.

As part of the acquisition, three partners and over 20 professionals from BPSD will join Citrin Cooperman. The transaction is consistent with Citrin Cooperman's ongoing growth strategy, which has seen the firm complete over 30 acquisitions since 2019.

"BPSD is a natural fit for Citrin Cooperman," said Gary Kendall and Aaron Levy, SoCal regional managing partners for the firm. "Their values, culture and client-first mindset mirror our own."

BPSD, a full-service tax, accounting and consulting firm, has operated in the Los Angeles market for over 50 years. The firm built its practice serving clients with a focus on business management and advisory services.

Scott Perren, a partner at BPSD, commented on the move, stating, "Joining Citrin Cooperman marks a new chapter in our firm's journey. We're proud of what we've built and excited to expand our reach and resources while continuing to deliver the personalized service our clients expect."
