
Winegard’s appointment places him on an advisory board for the EIC, a trade association representing over 800 companies in the global energy supply chain. The board provides non-binding strategic guidance for the region. At HKA, Winegard supports the firm's business development in the energy and oil and gas sectors.

In a separate appointment, Jon Scherr joins the board of the Federal Enforcement Homeland Security Foundation. The FEHSF is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency financial assistance to federal law enforcement agents and their families in cases of injury, hardship, or death in the line of duty. The organization, which operates with a volunteer board, aims to deliver financial support within 24 to 48 hours of being notified of an incident.
“His dedication and leadership will strengthen our mission to provide critical support to law enforcement professionals and their families in times of need,” said Ariel K. Grossman, Chief Operating Officer of FEHSF.
HKA Partner Ron Braver noted that Scherr’s appointment is a result of his "long-standing commitment to public service" and that his "broad experience and deep sense of purpose will bring valuable perspective to the foundation’s important work.”
