The DCLP is a key component of Aon’s Global Data Center Lifecycle Program, which aims to provide seamless coverage and support for clients throughout the entire data center lifecycle. The new insurance facility will offer coverage for a wide range of risks, including construction, cyber, and operational exposures. By integrating coverage across multiple lines of business, Aon is looking to help clients reduce the time and cost associated with procuring and managing insurance.
“Today’s data centers are the backbone of the global economy,” said James MacNeal, global industry specialty leader of construction and infrastructure for Aon. “Our Data Center Lifecycle Insurance Program empowers clients to make better decisions, moving faster and more confidently, with protection that evolves alongside strategic assets, from physical infrastructure to digital operations.”
In addition to its focus on data centers, Aon is also looking to expand its broader digital infrastructure practice. The firm has been making a concerted effort to enhance its capabilities in this area, in response to the growing demand for digital infrastructure and the associated risks. As part of this strategy, Aon is looking to leverage its existing expertise in areas such as construction, cyber, and operational risk, to provide clients with a more comprehensive and integrated approach to managing their digital infrastructure risks.
