Norman Harrison is a Managing Director of Secretariat based in Washington, D.C. A former investment banker, corporate attorney, and hedge fund counsel and compliance officer, he supports clients on matters arising at the intersection of litigation, regulation, transactions and the capital markets. He leads multidisciplinary teams in internal investigations and compliance monitorships; provides consulting support relating to corporate fraud and regulatory risks; conducts independent reviews of risk management and compliance programs; and provides expert testimony in financing, securities and M&A transactional disputes, and in litigation involving securities enforcement, private equity and hedge funds, and corporate governance and fiduciary duty issues. Previously, Norman was a senior professional with three other major consulting firms, and served as counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of a $1.6 billion hedge fund. Previously, Norman was an investment banker with Stephens Inc. and BT Alex. Brown Securities. He began his career as a corporate transactional attorney with Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP. Norman is a member of the American Bar Association and District of Columbia bar. He served on the Investor Advisory Group of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and has taught Business Associations as an adjunct professor at the American University Law School.
