John Tiscornia, Managing Director, Huron

John Tiscornia is an experienced health care leader who specializes in helping organizations navigate a range of financial, business strategy and regulatory challenges. He is an expert in governance issues and board development and works closely with executives and boards to assess their current-state performance and implement improvements. John has served as a client executive on major projects for organizations ranging from small hospitals to multifacility systems. He has also advised health care businesses on conversion to nonprofit status, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions. John was previously a principal at Wellspring Partners, which was acquired by Huron in 2007. He was the national director of Arthur Andersen’s health care industry program and regional director of health care for the Pacific region. He was with Arthur Andersen for more than 30 years, serving as a national director for Catholic health care and a member of the firm’s national steering committee for health care, in charge of developing its national health care training program. John is involved in multiple industry associations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Washington State Hospital Association and the Estes Park Institute. He is also a clinical professor in the University of Washington School of Public Health’s Department of Health Services.
