Alan Ratliff, Partner, StoneTurn Group

Alan Ratliff grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, moving to Texas for college where he obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration, accounting and tax from Baylor University and his law degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, licensed as an attorney and CPA. Alan served as a U.S. Court of Appeals law clerk, was the National Practice Leader for Intellectual Property Litigation Services at Ernst & Young, and received the Houston office Partner’s award as an attorney at Weil Gotshal, before joining StoneTurn Group 20 years ago as its first lateral partner. He is the firm’s senior partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation expert practice, the most experienced testifying expert witness in court, the firm’s longtime Risk Partner, a member of the firm’s DEI council, and the partner representative on the firm’s community engagement committee. In addition, over the last 25 years Alan has served on 10 nonprofit boards and has chaired 5 of them. His community service passion is youth education for which he has twice been recognized by the Mayor and City Council of Houston, with a day in his honor. Alan is a Martindale-Hubbell AV-Preeminent rated attorney and an IAM Patent1000 Highly Recommended Expert.
