As a structural engineer, forensic investigator and technical storyteller, Dr. Do helps clients translate complex engineering issues into clear and compelling narratives in a variety of construction disputes. As a prolific expert witness, he specializes in root cause investigations, standard of care evaluations, and construction and design defect analyses.

Dr. Do is a seasoned investigator in matters involving structural failures, design and construction defects, and standard of care. Clients regularly enlist him to identify root causes of performance issues within the built environment. Moreover, his disputes experience encompasses a range of structures, including base-isolated buildings, aerial guideways and bridges, below-grade station buildings, support-of-excavation systems, marine structures, tunnels and refineries.

In addition to his forensic work, Dr. Do has hands-on experience in the design of new buildings and seismic retrofit of existing structures. Dr. Do earned his Ph.D. and MS in structural engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
