Lauren Kastner, Director, ICF

Lauren Kastner is a clean transportation and EV expert who advises utilities, cities, and state agencies to design and implement EV charging infrastructure and load management plans. Her more than 10 years of experience spans clean energy and climate policy, the automotive sector, corporate sustainability, local government and cleantech. Lauren is based in New York City and supports clients nationwide with the design, regulatory filing support, and implementation of EV customer programs spanning charging infrastructure incentives, load management, and technical assistance and education.

Prior to joining ICF, she was the Director of Mobility and Policy for Build Edison, where she led advisory services for cleantech clients and strategic partners. Previously, Lauren was an Environmental Policy Manager at Cummins, where she was responsible for informing business and technology strategy with emerging energy and environmental trends. In 2017, Lauren was named to Midwest Energy News’ 40 Under 40 and GreenBiz’s 30 Under 30 list as an emerging leader in sustainable business. She is a Senior Fellow with the Environmental Leadership Program. Lauren earned a Master’s in Public Administration from Columbia University at the School of International and Public Affairs and she holds degrees in journalism and public affairs from Indiana University-Bloomington.
