Nirali Shah Chawla is a Managing Director and the Federal Technology Risk leader in KPMG’s Federal Advisory practice. She has more than 24 years of experience leading large-scale modernization and transformation projects to private and public sector clients including cybersecurity services, Identity, Credential & Access Management (ICAM) services, financial and information technology audit readiness services, Governance, Risk & Compliance implementations and programs, AI/ML and transformation consulting services. She leads some of the largest Federal agencies operating globally at the brink of transformational change and growth, leveraging her knowledge of existing and emerging technologies to uncover IT opportunities for business process improvements. She is the co-author of NIST Special Publication 800-137, Information Security Continuous Monitoring for Federal Information Systems and Organizations, and holds certifications such as the CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CAP, ITIL and Six Sigma Green Belt.
Ms. Chawla serves on the ISACA Greater Washington DC (ISACA GWDC) Board of Directors, AFCEA Scholarships Education Committee Board, Pratham Mid-Atlantic Executive Board and is a member of the ASMC, NAASA and Women in Technology. She was a finalist for the 2023 Women in Technology Leadership Award for the Washington, DC Corporate Large-Market Sector and recognized as a leader in consulting by ’Women We Admire.’
