Mentor of the Year
Nia Jackson is a Senior Director at FTI Consulting in the Strategic Communications segment, based in Washington, D.C. She is a key member of the public affairs practice and the industrials sector team. In her role, Nia leverages her extensive expertise to support clients in highly-regulated industries facing complex reputational challenges. This includes helping clients navigate crises, litigation, trade and national security issues, and mergers and acquisitions where there is inherent political risk. Additionally, she has significant experience across a variety of sectors including heavy manufacturing, construction, pharmaceuticals, performance chemistries and technology, reflecting her broad industry knowledge.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Nia provided consulting services to small businesses and nonprofits in North Florida, where she served as the primary spokesperson for several local organizations. Her prior experience also includes internships with SKDKnickerbocker, the U.S. House of Representatives’ Democratic Caucus, and the U.S. Agency for International Development. During these experiences, she honed her skills in strategic planning and issues management.
Nia is actively involved with several nonprofits and currently sits on the Board of Directors for Jump4Jax, a Jacksonville-based organization advocating for adolescent health and wellness. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of South Florida.
