Laura Brooks is a certified Program Management Professional leading more than 25 colleagues at PotomacWave who are passionate about supporting Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) programs to mitigate against future losses from all hazards including floods, earthquakes, tornadoes and other natural disasters. Under Laura’s leadership, her program increased from 10 to 26 resources for a 160% growth rate. Her customer service leadership style has strengthened PotomacWave’s reputation throughout FEMA and played a critical role in the firm’s success. She is focused on creating the best customer experience and strengthening PotomacWave’s core services business, while also working to deliver transformative technologies. Laura has over 17 years of experience in the government contracting industry. Prior to supporting FEMA’s Federal Insurance Directorate (FID) in August 2019, she supported and managed a portfolio of government clients, including the Department of Labor (DOL), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Department of State (DoS) and the Department of Justice (DoJ). She began her career with ManTech International as a management consultant and deployment specialist.
