Jamie Burgess is a partner and the risk consulting enterprise leader at RSM US LLP, overseeing the strategy and practice operations for the U.S., Canada, El Salvador and India. As the firm’s risk consulting leader, Jamie drives strategic execution and enterprise collaboration within our business, technology, and security and privacy risk practices. She is a member of the firm’s board of directors.
Jamie has over 20 years of experience. Her primary responsibilities are to provide consulting services focusing on clients’ business and information technology needs, including strategy, compliance, risk management and audit services. Jamie’s background includes identifying and evaluating key risks and controls, including compliance with regulatory guidelines. Her experience includes the following:
- Development of technology strategies aligned with business and overall organizational strategy
- Advisor on security- and data-related initiatives
- Business process enhancement, including alignment of technology and business for increased efficiency, effectiveness and control considerations
- Internal audit and controls implementation, compliance, and rationalization across financial, operational, and technology domains
- Role as a national representative with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board on Securities and Exchange Commission audit engagements
- Management of internal and external reviews of various applications and system platforms for public and private companies
