Ellen is a managing director with Protiviti Germany, where she leads its Sustainability, Risk and Culture practice. She is also the Sustainability and ESG lead for Protiviti across all its EMEA offices and chair of its Global Sustainability & ESG Steering Committee. Her focus is on sustainability and risk, with extensive expertise in other areas such as program management, communication business-IT, performance improvement and Governance, Risk and Compliance.
Ellen is a pioneer who spearheaded, from Germany, our global approach to serving clients in the ESG space – developing models, approaches and then proving those out in client service engagements. An acknowledged subject-matter expert in sustainability, ESG, risk governance and risk culture, Ellen is in demand as a conference speaker and frequently co-authors thought leadership pieces for Protiviti, as well as participating in external webinars and podcasts.
Ellen is a LUMA-certified Human-Centered Design Facilitator, a Professional Scrum Master, and a Project Management Professional (PMP). She holds a master’s degree in peace and security studies from the University of Hamberg and a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy from Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg.
