Consulting Magazine is pleased to announce that the Rising Stars of the Profession nomination period is now open.
For more than a decade, Consulting Magazine's Rising Stars of the Profession has recognized outstanding young professionals in our industry and honored them for their demonstration of exemplary client service actions, relationship practices, innovation and leadership in serving both their clients and their firms.
In an industry where securing top talent is crucial to success, the ability to attract and retain the best professionals has become more critical than ever. Today's advisory firms face a dynamic and increasingly mobile workforce, making it essential to go beyond salary and standard benefits to acquire and hold on to these key individuals.
Rising Stars of the Profession was designed to identify young leaders and future innovators and hold them up as examples of excellence. In addition, it reminds us that we have a responsibility to promote those qualities in all young leaders for the betterment of our industry as a whole.

In 2023, the program was expanded to include consulting firms as well, identifying and recognizing those firms implementing outstanding recruiting and retention programs as well as efforts to deliver mentoring and employee enrichment programs. To qualify, firms must describe and substantiate a program or initiative's scope, budget, philosophy, timelines, goals and results.
The individual categories for Rising Stars of The Profession include: Excellence in Client Services, Excellence in Strategy and Excellence in Leadership and are subcategorized in 15 separate sectors of the industry within each category. Two categories for firm honors include: Recruiting/Retention and Mentoring/Enrichment.
"Success in the consulting industry demands programs that energize and elevate employee engagement and nurture leadership and professional development," notes Consulting Magazine Director, Michael A. Webb. "The ability to identify and cultivate promising next-generation leaders not only complements and strengthens the core of seasoned veterans, but is also critical to a firm's profitability, longevity and coveted reputation."
