What has motivated you to excel over the course of your career?

I have people-pleaser tendencies. I don't want to let people down, whether in my personal or professional life. This tendency drives my motivation to deliver for my customers and my colleagues.

What has been the biggest factor in your success so far?

Making the best of change, whether originated by my choice or by circumstance, and seeing it as an opportunity to grow. As I look back at my career so far, the times that have spring-boarded my success were due to changes in my life. In those times, I've leaned into the new opportunity. Each of those major changes expanded my skills, knowledge, and life experience in ways that I would not have envisioned otherwise.

What do you enjoy most about your career in the consulting industry?

Building relationships and investing in people. Whether Point B colleagues or customers, this is what I get up for in the morning. By building these relationships, becoming a thought partner and leader is much easier. You have earned their trust, so they know you're working with their best interests in mind to solve their problems.

A subset of investing in people that I also love is coaching and mentoring early-career individuals. Helping people grow and achieve their goals is extremely satisfying for me. I've been fortunate to have wonderful managers and mentors in my career. They've supported my goals and provided valuable insights. I want to pay this forward for others.

What is your proudest achievement to date?

Personally: Being a committed family man. An engaged partner to my wife and involved father to my daughter.

Professionally: A tie between establishing and leading the ARISE BRG and receiving the Point B Team Blue Standard award, one of Point B's top internal awards, for transforming a challenging account to an account that developed associate experience while delivering impressive outcomes.

What's the best advice you've ever been given?

"You are your own best advocate." No matter how supportive your manager, boss, family, or other individual is, you know yourself best. You are the one who can best motivate yourself and maintain your personal drive to achieve your goals. Those around you can support or hinder you, and it's up to you to advocate for what you want.

What does this recognition mean to you?

I am surprised and humbled to be nominated for this award since there are many colleagues at Point B that exhibit these traits of leadership and dedication to our people and customers. To receive this recognition affirms that I am making a positive contribution to our firm and providing value and care for my colleagues and customers alike.
