Excellence in Regulation and Compliance

A New York native raised on Wall Street by a single mother who emigrated from the Dominican Republic in search of political asylum, Mike Drews is anything but your typical consulting leader.

He graduated high school from La Salle Military Academy as a second Lieutenant overseeing a platoon of 60 cadets. His first job out of high school and through college was running trade tickets on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange for a $2 broker. From there, he earned a full-time position at the NYSE as an equity trader for nearly eight years. He then joined Merrill Lynch in their first rollout of a regulatory operations team, tasked with analyzing trading patterns tied to a front-running investigation on their equity desk.

He joined Capco in 2010 as a member of their Finance, Risk and Compliance (FRC) practice, and rose from entry-level to Partner of Capco's Capital Markets business in 10 years. Today, Mike's leadership roles include Client Partner leading the U.S. arm of Capco's largest global account, US Head of Capco's FRC practice, and Partner Sponsor of Capco's US Associate Talent Program.

Mike is married to a Capco Partner and is raising two young children.
