2024 Top Consultants: Karen Werger

Karen has held numerous roles across Financial Advisory (FA), the Canadian firm and globally. She currently leads Global V&M, one of the largest FA business lines. She is also a Vice Chair of Deloitte Canada, teaming with colleagues to bring the best to our law firm and in-house counsel clients. As the FA Culture and People leader for over three years, Karen was at the center, leading our people through the global pandemic, the great resignation, and the beginning of the economic downturn. She was the first dean of Deloitte University North to open the doors to provide programming targeted at developing extraordinary leaders for our clients and communities across Canada. She ran the largest FA practice in Toronto for four years, during a time when the practice grew 100% in both revenue and headcount, including a substantial increase in female leaders serving the marketplace. She has also served as lead relationship partner for numerous marquee accounts. Karen founded the largest employee resource group in Canada over 18 years ago, the Women's Impact Network and helped build the disputes and remediation practice enabling us to promote several organic partners who are still serving those clients on similar issues today.
